Broken English, Wrigley Field Restaurants, Eat Purely

It finally seems like Spring has sprung!  So get out there and enjoy our city!!  Here are some of my picks for what's Rocking Right Now in Chicago.  Click here to listen to my full 101-WKQX radio segment.

Broken English Taco Pub

It's the grand opening of Broken English's third location.  But this will be their biggest party spot to date!  The brand new Lincoln Park spot has some of the edgiest and most eye catching decor I've seen.  Super artistic and brightly colored Mexican and Latin American graffiti art adorn the walls.  Their patio is massive and well appointed.  I already know that the food will be incredible, because co-owner/my friend, Adolfo Garcia can do no wrong.  I'm already drooling over the shrimp and fried chicken tacos, and I haven't even had them yet!

But hold on to your sombreros amigos!!  Cinco de Mayo is right around the corner and there will literally be no fiesta in Chicago bigger than the one at Broken English.  And wait for it... wait for on Cinco de Mayo (May 5th for anyone not from planet Earth) all shots of Don Julio 1942 are $10!!!  If you know ANYTHING about tequila, you know this is a massive deal.  Are they loco over there?!!? Let's not say anything, we don't want them to change their mind... and you're welcome.

Broken English- LINCOLN PARK- 2576 N. Lincoln Ave.

Wrigley Field

With Cubs season in full swing (blatantly obnoxious baseball pun.)  It's time to start thinking about all the yummy ballpark food that you'll be consuming this season all around the Friendly Confines.  But this year is different!  Oh yes, we now have options that span well beyond Hebrew National Hot Dogs (as delicious as they are) and Cubs branded bags of peanuts.  Here are a few options that will leave you feeling like you just had a foodie experience at Wrigley.

Pork and Mindy's- Jeff Mauro (apparently some guy on Food Network) opened a brick and mortar sammy shop in Wicker Park that has gotten some great buzz, and now you can get their meaty craftsman creations at Wrigley too!

Billy Sunday- when I heard this I was blown away.  Everyone loves a good Old Style at Wrigley, I mean, it's tradition.  But sometimes you want to get a bit fancier.  And I don't mean a Captain and Coke.  Billy Sunday has been serving up some of the most killer craft cocktails in Logan Square for a few years now.  To be honest, this was one of the first spots where I really began to appreciate the art of the cocktail.  So to have them at Wrigley is really a treat.

Hot Doug's- The man just can't leave, can he?!  Since his Logan Square spot closed in 2014 it's been hard to find some of the city's best doggies.  But now he's back...again.  This time, only in the Bleachers.  But you can get some of your favorite unique varieties and the tried and true classics as well.  Stay around forever, Doug!!

Wrigley Field- WRIGLEYVILLE- If you don't know where by now....
